Scott's Resources

Scott Phillips is Tensar's market manager for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. In his role, he is responsible for leading and developing market strategies for Tensar solutions for these markets. He works closely with key geotechnical and civil engineers, owners, operators, and other decision makers to provide soft soil solutions using Tensar's geogrids and innovative technologies. 

Before becoming the oil, gas and petrochemical market manager in 2018, Scott served as a regional manager for Tensar's grade separation solutions and the Mid-South Regional Manager for Tensar's geogrid solutions. He has helped develop solutions for large projects with more than one million square yards of geogrid.

Scott is an active member of a number of industry associations, including but not limited to:

  • American Society of Civil Engineers
  • National Society of Professional Engineers
  • Society of Petroleum Engineers
  • Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors
  • National Society for Professional Surveyors
 

He is an adjunct professor at Louisiana Tech University, and served on the Louisiana Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors from 2014 to 2020. He currently serves as a volunteer for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), and is a Professional Engineer in Industry (PEI) Representative for the Louisiana Engineering Society.

Scott has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying from Louisiana Tech Uniersity and a master's degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College. He is a P.E. in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alaska.
