Mariana Stafford

Mariana is a geotechnical engineer with wide experience in the sector and high emphasis in the geosynthetics market. She has held various positions at Tensar International and currently works as the Engineering and Design Manager for Latin America. In her current position, she is responsible for providing technical support and construction assistance for all Tensar systems and technologies within the entire Latin America / Caribbean territory. Her experience in the geosynthetics sector includes applications that vary from pavements to foundation improvement, mechanically stabilized walls, interlayers, and marine.

Mariana also has extensive geotechnical experience in various consulting companise in Colombia and the United States. Her experience includes the areas of geotechnical design, inspection, and project management of residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

She graduated as a civil engineer from EAFIT University in Colombia, South America, and holds a master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM in Mexico. In addition, she holds P.E. certifications in the states of Georgia, Ohio, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

She enjoys traveling and doing outdoor activities like hiking and mountain biking.
